Container Ship Basketball
Similar to land based basketball except in international waters not all laws/rules are enforced. Also the rim is about 15cm to low and the floor rolls more than on a regulation court. 10/10 would play again.

Furong Tunnel
The walls of this 1km long pedestrian tunnel are covered with incredible graffiti. One of the best free art exhibitions of the trip!

Dim Dim Sum
This Dim Sum restaurant served one of the best meas we've ever tasted, and at a reasonable price too. It didn't have the traditional trolleys of dishes being wheeled around for your delectation, but the menu items that we tried were all exquisite.

Banh Mi
What happens when you combine French baking with Vietnamese spices and flavourings? The exquisite food that is the Banh Mi.

Tam Coc
These incredible rock formations are similar to those in the world famous Ha Long Bay, but they are less crowded with tourists and accessbile at a lower price point.

Egg Coffee
It's definitely an aquired taste, but this strong espresso style coffee with whisked egg foam on the top is delicious if you come into it with an open mind.

Szechuan Hotpot
With enough chili to make even the most hardened patrons eyes water, this regional hot pot still packs enough flavour to avoid being overpowered by the spice. Dipping in all kinds of ingredients made the experience even more unique and exciting... and delicious!

FanPu Homestay
The staff and environment of this wonderful place made this one of the best experiences of our trip. An amazing combination of organic farm and eco retreat where they teach members of the local population and general public more about living in a sustainable way.

Thick, wide, chunky noodles chopped into small squares and mixed with a tomato based spicy sauce and local green leafies. In all our travels this was our favourite noodle dish (sorry Japan).

The Nakasendo Way
The old highway between Kyoto and Tokyo. We walked the section between Magome and Tsumago in July, the weather was beautiful and the scenery even better. A special chance to walk through history in an incredible setting.
